Bihar News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through a video conference on Sunday, inaugurated the buildings of 13 health-related projects in Bihar. The ceremony was attended by Bihar’s Health Minister Samrat Choudhary, Principal Secretary of Health Pratyay Amrit, and other department officials.
Along with Bihar, the Prime Minister designated Sunday as the day for the inauguration and foundation laying of several health projects in other states across the country.
The projects in Bihar included the Government Medical College in Purnia, besides the inauguration of Model Hospitals in Nalanda and 11 Community Health Centers.
Cost of Medical College Purnia and Model Hospital Nalanda
According to information from the Health Department, the cost of the Government Medical College in Purnia is approximately INR 421.88 crore. Additionally, the Model Hospital in Nalanda, which was inaugurated, has an estimated cost of around INR 47.68 crore.
National Dedication of Six AIIMS by PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also dedicated AIIMS Rajkot to the nation, along with AIIMS institutions in Bathinda, Jammu, Kalyani, Mangalagiri, and Raebareli. Furthermore, projects like the National Health Mission, PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, and various medical education initiatives were inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid.
Inauguration of Community Health Centers
In addition to major hospitals, PM Modi inaugurated the buildings of several Community Health Centers, including those in Guraru (Gaya), Dobhi Sherghati (Gaya), Neemchak Bathani (Gaya), Rampur Bhabhua (Kaimur), Rahika Bisfi (Madhubani), Parlavalpur Hisua (Nalanda), Silao Rajgir (Nalanda), Patharghat Simri Bakhtiyarpur (Saharsa), Bariyarpur (Begusarai), Mansurchak Bachhwara (Begusarai), and Community Health Center Chakai (Jamui). The cost of these community health centers is approximately INR 7.69 crore per building.
