Apple iPhone 17: Apple claims that the “Ceramic Shield” it utilised in the iPhone 15 is more durable than most other smartphone glass. The iPhone 17 series, which is expected to launch in 2025, is now reported to use an even harder glass. The glass on the iPhone 17 will be more resilient in addition to being more anti-reflective, similar to the glass on the display of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. In this article, we will share all we know about this rumour.
Apple iPhone 17 rumoured to feature anti-reflective scratch-resistant display
According to the rumour, Apple has added specialised coating equipment to its supply chain in China after purchasing it from Japan.
It’s too late for the iPhone 16, therefore this equipment is probably meant for later iPhone models, maybe the iPhone 17. This action raises the possibility that the iPhone 17 series will include a display that is “super-hard anti-reflective,” providing increased scratch resistance.
It is also anticipated that the company’s Ceramic Shield glass technology, which is said to provide better drop protection, will undergo an upgrade, providing better scratch resistance in comparison to earlier generations.
At par with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the company’s flagship smartphone model that was announced earlier this year, is said to have comparable anti-reflective display technology. With Corning’s Gorilla Glass Armor protection, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to have better scratch resistance and a more efficient reflection reducer than other smartphone screens.
