The Nifty was at 22,402.40 after a rise of 34.40 points. However the Sensex was up by 114.49 points and reached at 73,852.94. 2,184 shares or so advanced on the Nifty. 1,458 shares decreased, while 134 shares remained the same. Indian markets underperformed their Asian counterparts as Q4 earnings were mainly muted, with the IT sector posting poor results and a few index heavyweights reporting equally disappointing results. But thanks to robust manufacturing and service industries, the Indian composite PMI reached a multi-year high, indicating that domestic resilience was contributing to some market buoyancy.
