Similarly, in the 2014 elections, out of a total of 2,115,303 electors, 1,316,817 valid votes were recorded. Sumitra Mahajan, popularly known as “tai,” emerged victorious for the BJP, securing 854,972 votes, a substantial lead over INC candidate Satyanarayan Patel, who trailed by 466,901 votes.
