IPL 2024 RR Vs SRH Qualifier 2: The game turned on its head when Pat Cummins decided to introduce spin in the game. A match that was in control of Rajasthan has completely been taken away from them.
Yashaswi Jaiswal was playing with a strike rate of 200 alongside Sanju Samson who was dictating the innings. That is when Pat Cummins played his trump card that completely changed the game.
On a rare occasion, Chepauk ground saw no seam in the game and the SRH skipper introduced spin in the contest. And in just 5 overs the match completely turned upside down and Rajasthan is in deep trouble.

Cummins introduced spin right after the PowerPlay and it did not take long for effects to take place. Shahbaz Ahmed was on fire when he dismissed Yashaswi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and Ravichandran Ashwin.
The masterstroke came when Cummins gave the ball to Abhishek Sharma. It was a weird choice as Abhishek had only bowled 3 overs before this match. But it turned out perfectly as Abhishek knocked down Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmeyer to shatter RR’s lower order completely.
Markram was also introduced and apart from one no-ball, he bowled wonderfully and economically. Meanwhile, Abhishek finished his 4 overs with his best figures in the IPL and took two crucial wickets.
IPL 2024 RR Vs SRH Qualifier 2: Furious Sunil Gavaskar
Former Indian player Sunil Gavaskar was furious after the dismissal of Riyan Parag. As soon as Parag got dismissed against Shahbaz, Gavaskar let out a huge sigh and was angry at the batsman.
He stated that even after having so much talent, Parag chose to play a shot like that. It was irresponsible and shows no temperament by the batsman.
