Weather Update: There is a possibility of strong heatwave situations in a few regions of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi and Uttarakhand including their capitals. Punjab, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh would also have heatwave today. The Indian Meteorological Department stated that there is a chance of thundershowers in the parts of Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and few parts of West Bengal. The IMD further predicted that there could be also lightning with thundershowers in the above mentioned areas.
Weather Update: Maximum temperature forecast of the day
The maximum temperature recorded on Friday( yesterday) was ranging between 45 degrees to 48 degree Celsius. It is predicted that the parts of Odisha and Uttar Pradesh would see a warm night today. The following are the predicted maximum temperature of these cities, as per the IMD.

The IMD forecasts that there would be a drop of 2 degree celsius in the maximum temperature of the Delhi. However, Patna is also likely to have a 3°C decrease in the daytime high. Lucknow would see partial cloudy sky. There is also a chance of thunder and lightning in the capital city of UP. However, the capital city of Jharkhand would see partially cloudy sky. There is an also chance of rain or thundershowers.

The Department of Indian Meteorological has speculated that few parts across the Bay of Bengal, Lakshadweep and Andaman sea would have a sudden small storm today. It is likely accompanied by the wind speed of an average of 35-40 kmph. The IMD predictions say that Southern regions including Telangana, Goa and its adjacent areas can face humid conditions throughout the daytime. However, Karnataka and Kerala are likely to see heavy rainfall. It is followed up to selected regions of West Bengal, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Pondicherry.
