Weather Update: According to IMD, heatwaves are expected to affect states like Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. IMD has also issued an orange alert for a few Uttar Pradesh regions. The highest temperature of Delhi is likely to see 43 degrees Celsius, along with thunderstorms and rain. It is anticipated that the extreme heat will be relieved for the people of Delhi. As Delhi may see rain in few parts of the city. Meanwhile, the IMD forecast says that states like Kerala, West Bengal, Telangana, Meghalaya, and Tamil Nadu will have a lot of rain.

According to IMD, there is a high probability of heat wave conditions occurring in specific areas of North, Central and Southern regions of the nation. As per the Meterological department Bihar and Odisha may have hot weather. Winds between 35 and 45 kmph with gusts up to 55 kmph are predicted to be squally and to linger off the coast of Sri Lanka. The same is predicted across the Mannar Gulf and over the Comorin area. The West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim ,Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Jammu & Kashmir, Puducherry, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka are all expected to experience heavy rainfall in isolated areas.
