Ind vs Pak T20 World Cup 2024: It is a dreadful start for the Indian Cricket team as both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have gone back to the pavilion inside the Powerplay. Pakistan could not have asked for a better start.
India vs Pakistan was finally resumed after the rain stoppage. While the Indian skipper dominated Shaheen in the first over, the rain changed everything as the pitch was even slower than before.
While both Indian openers looked in great touch, they were not able to adapt to the pitch and got out while trying to score quickly. Which is not a good approach considering the pitch at Nassau County International Stadium.
Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma Depart!
It was a great start after the rain as Kohli played one of the best shots of the tournament. That drive might go into the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Hall of Fame because of how elegant it was.
Nassau County stadium is one of the toughest pitches to bat on right now. Every batsman is supposed to take some time and get settled before trying to score quickly.
But Kohli with his new approach and Rohit Sharma will never play like that. They are the mentality monsters who will try and score as quickly as they can. And in that process, both of them lost their wicket in the powerplay only.
Ind vs Pak T20 World Cup 2024: The Fight Back
After losing 2 wickets early, skipper Rohit Sharma decided to send Axar Patel early to bat. The move worked as the left-handed all-rounder played the tough overs alongside Rishabh Pant before getting out.
By the end of the 10th over India had scored 81 runs with the loss of 3 wickets. Surya Kumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant are on the pitch and if these two connect, we are looking at a par total for the Indian team.
