Rajasthan News: In a bid to enhance the yield of major Kharif crops, the Agriculture Department has announced the distribution of free mini-kits of advanced seeds to farmers for the Kharif 2024 season. The initiative includes the provision of high-quality seeds for crops such as sorghum, pearl millet, mung bean, moth bean, and maize.

Agriculture Commissioner Shri Kanhaiya Lal Swami provided details on the distribution plan. The mini-kits for pearl millet will weigh 1.5 kg each, while the mini-kits for sorghum, moth bean, and mung bean will each weigh 4 kg. Additionally, the mini-kits for maize will be distributed in 5 kg packages.
This distribution aims to support farmers by providing them with better seed varieties, ultimately contributing to increased productivity and profitability. The advanced seed varieties are expected to play a crucial role in boosting the agricultural output of the region, ensuring food security, and enhancing the livelihood of the farming community.
