The Disrict Magistrate of Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur has ordered a complaint to be filed against the prinicipal of a private school who was seen hanging a child upside down from the first floor of a building in viral photos. Reportedly, the princial was hanging the child for being mischeivous. The child was a second-standard student.
The incident was reported from Sadbhavna Shikshan Sansthan Junior High School Private School in Ahraura. Manoj Vishwakarma, the principal, got angry with the Class-2 student, Sonu Yadav, for being naughty with other children while having lunch.
He grabbed the child in the fit of rage and hung him from the first floor balcony of the school and showed him as an example to other students if they ever try to be mischievous inside the school premises.
He only pulled up Sonu after he screamed and begged for forgiveness. The incident was captured on camera and uploaded on social media, following which District Magistrate Praveen Kumar Lakshkar took cognizance of the matter and ordered the basic education officer to immediately take action against the principal.
Sonu’s father Ranjit Yadav said, “My son had only gone to eat gol gappa with the other kids and they were being a little naughty. For this, the principal meted out such a punishment.”
