Mihir Shah: The primary suspect in the Worli hit-and-run case, Mihir Shah, was taken into custody on Tuesday. Since July 7, when he is said to have crashed his BMW into a motorbike and killed a woman, he has been missing. Shah’s mother and her two sisters are among the twelve individuals who have been placed under arrest.

Shah, a politician and member of the Shiv Sena faction supported by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, is thought to have escaped arrest for more than 72 hours with the assistance of his mother and sisters, according to the police. Now, the police have to determine whether to list the three Shahpur-arrested ladies as accused. A BMW struck a couple on a scooter on Annie Besant Road in Worli early on July 7. In the incident, Kaveri Nakhwa, a woman, lost her life while her husband Pradip was hurt.
After the police organized many teams to apprehend Mihir Shah, they were able to locate him at an apartment in Virar, around 65 kilometers from Mumbai. They’re taking him to the police station in Worli. At 5.30 am on Sunday, the BMW, which was allegedly driven by Mihir Shah, collided with a two-wheeler after he spent ₹ 18,730 at a Juhu pub where he partied for hours with four pals. The bar, Global Tapas, also known as the Vice, was sealed just before Shah was taken into custody today.
Legal Charges Against Mihir Shah
Sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 281 (rash and negligent driving endangering human life), 125-B (endangering life and personal safety), 238, and 324(4) (committing mischief amounting to cause loss and damage) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sahita were the charges brought against Mihir Shah. In addition, he faces charges under the Motor Vehicles Act’s Sections 184, 134A, 134B, and 187.
The 45-year-old Kaveri Nakhwa is the woman who was slain. She was with her injured but fled spouse, Pradip. According to reports, the two went out shopping for fish to prepare for the family. Rajesh Shah allegedly urged his son Mihir to trade places with the driver when he called him after the event, according to the police. According to the authorities, Rajesh Shah intended to accuse the motorist in order to rescue his son.
