Paris Olympics 2024: The golden girl of India strikes once again as she creates history. Manu and Sarabjot fought brilliantly against the South Korean duo to win the bronze medal.
Manu equalled the 124-year-old record at the Olympics. She became the first Indian in Independent India history to win multiple medals at a single Olympic edition. It was a tense final but both Manu and Sarabjot kept their calm.
Manu Bhaker was especially on fire shooting multiple 10-pointers that allowed the Indian duo to take a commendable position. It was like watching a master at work against which the Korean duo had no answer.
Unreal Comeback
The Indian duo started slow as the Korean took the lead in the first round. But after that, both shooters came back into the game and started dominating it. A few 10-pointers by both of these shooters to claim the next few rounds.
Manu-Sarabjot was quickly on match point as Koreans were struggling to find their groove. A timeout by the Korean camp shook the Indian duo a little bit but it was not enough.
As the Koreans were making their comeback, the Indian coach took a vital timeout at the perfect stages. She asked both of her shooters to calm down and loosen up. It was the perfect advice as the Indian duo clinched the next round to make history.
Paris Olympics 2024: History Maker Manu
After winning a bronze medal in her event, Manu was on fire in the mixed event as well. She created history and became the first Indian in Independent India history to win multiple medals at a single Olympic edition. She still has one more event left in the Paris Olympics 2024 and we wish her all the best for that.
