Vande Bharat Train: Agra, the city of the iconic Taj Mahal, is all set to enjoy the benefits of a new Vande Bharat Superfast train service. Starting from September 2, this train will connect Agra Cantt station to Udaipur, offering a quick and comfortable journey between the two cities. The Vande Bharat train will run three days a week—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—promising to take passengers from Agra to Udaipur in just 9 hours.
New Vande Bharat Train Schedule
The North Western Railway has announced that train number 20981 will officially begin its operations between Udaipur and Agra Cantt from September 2. According to the schedule, the train will depart from Udaipur at 5:45 AM, reaching Agra Cantt by 2:30 PM. After a short halt, it will depart from Agra Cantt at 3:00 PM, reaching Udaipur at 11:45 PM.
Service on Specific Days
This Vande Bharat Superfast train will be operational between Udaipur and Agra three days a week—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. On the remaining days—Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—the train will run only between Jaipur and Udaipur. Initially, the service was restricted to the Jaipur-Udaipur route, but due to low passenger turnout, the railways decided to extend it to Agra Cantt.
Stoppages and Fare Details
During its journey, the Vande Bharat train will make stops at several key stations including Rana Pratap Nagar, Mavli, Chanderia, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, and Gangapur City. However, the fare for this route is yet to be finalized by the railways.
