Addressing the gathering, CM Bhagwant Mann paid tribute to the freedom fighters who played a pivotal role in India’s struggle for independence. “ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਸੰਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀਕਾਰੀ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਮ…,” he said, expressing his gratitude to the revolutionary warriors of the freedom movement. “Happy 78th Independence Day of India to all of you… Salute to all the freedom fighters who made their valuable contribution to the freedom of the country because of which we are celebrating the warmth of freedom today,” Mann tweeted earlier, emphasizing the importance of remembering the contributions of the nation’s heroes.
