Punjab News: In a significant move to enhance road safety and provide timely medical assistance to accident victims, the Traffic & Road Safety Wing of Punjab Police, in collaboration with the State Health Agency and MapMyIndia, has integrated 384 “Farishtey” hospitals into the Mappls App. This technological advancement is designed to ensure that accident victims receive immediate care, potentially saving countless lives.
Integration with Mappls App
The integration of these hospitals into the Mappls App, developed by MapMyIndia, allows for real-time tracking and navigation to the nearest hospital equipped to handle emergencies. This system ensures that accident victims can be quickly transported to the nearest medical facility, where they can receive urgent care. The initiative is supported by the Sadak Surakhiya Force, a dedicated team focused on improving road safety across the state.
Ensuring Timely Medical Response
The Punjab government, under this initiative, aims to reduce the time it takes to get accident victims to medical facilities, a critical factor in saving lives. With the Mappls App now showing the locations of the integrated Farishtey hospitals, first responders and the general public can easily identify the closest hospital in case of an emergency.
Collaboration for a Safer Punjab
This technological boost reflects a broader commitment by the Punjab government and its partners to leverage technology for public safety. The collaboration between the Punjab Police, the State Health Agency, and MapMyIndia demonstrates how public-private partnerships can effectively address critical issues like road safety.
The integration of 384 hospitals is just the beginning of a larger plan to make Punjab’s roads safer and ensure that victims of road accidents receive the timely medical attention they need. This initiative is expected to serve as a model for other states looking to improve road safety through technology.
