Weather Update: The weather advisory states that West and Central India may anticipate light to moderate rains. Additionally, for East and Northeast India, the Meteorological Department forecast widespread light to moderate rainfall. In addition to light to moderate rainfall, the national capital is expected to see thunderstorms and lightning, according to the Weather Department. The meteorological service predicts light to moderate rainfall in the parts of Uttarakhand, with some showers expected in the state capital, Dehradun. However, the rainfall is expected to be fairly widespread in the city.

The meteorological department forecasts strong downpours in remote locations and sporadic downpours across a large portion of Uttar Pradesh, including a few light showers in the state capital, Lucknow. However, as per the IMD forecast, Mumbai may get gloomy weather and light rain showers all week long. The city has experienced an increase in temperature over the past few days, with maximum temperatures rising by 4-5 degrees Celsius, following a period of intense downpour. In spite of this, a gradual drop in rainfall intensity is anticipated, providing some relief from the intense downpours. Mumbai’s temperature is expected to range from a low of 26°C to a high of 32°C today, with an average of about 30.9°C.

The India Meteorological Department predicts that there will be heavy rainfall with precipitation in some parts of Gujarat and Maharashtra. IMD forecasts heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several areas across the Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In certain areas of Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, the India Meteorological Department anticipates significant rainfall. However, the same has been expected for Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
