Priyangu Pandey Viral Video: BJP leader Priyangu Pandey was reportedly shot on Wednesday in the Bhatpara area of North 24 Parganas during the 12-hour Bengal Bandh. This was a terrible occurrence. Outrage has been sparked by the assault video that went viral. Four people have been taken into custody in relation to Pandey’s attack.
Priyangu Pandey has charged Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers with planning the assault. He said that seven or eight bombs were thrown at his car during an ambush, and then there were six or seven rounds of gunfire. The incident left two people hurt, one of whom is very ill. Pandey claims that a jetting machine that the Bhatpara Municipality had placed on the road caused his car to stop when he was travelling to the home of BJP leader Arjun Singh. He said that TMC and the police were involved in a planned plot by a group of fifty to sixty individuals to target his car.

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, in a post on X, condemned the incident and stated, “TMC goon opening fire on eminent BJP Leader Priyangu Pandey’s vehicle at Bhatpara. The driver of the vehicle is shot. This is how Mamata Banerjee & TMC are trying to force BJP off the street. The Bandh is successful and people have supported it wholeheartedly. The toxic cocktail of Police & TMC Goons won’t be able to scare BJP.”

Subsequently, the West Bengal Police found empty bomb shells near the Bhatpara area, supporting the theory that the attack was planned. A number of BJP workers who were protesting the incident at Kolkata’s Bata Chowk were also detained by the police.
Earlier in the day, TMC workers had staged a protest against the BJP’s 12-hour ‘Bengal Bandh’ call, which was in response to what the BJP described as a police crackdown during their ‘Nabanna Abhijan’ march. TMC has accused the BJP of trying to create unrest in the state.
