Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan Games 2024: The block-level games under the third edition of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan 2024 commenced on Tuesday, with a series of sports events scheduled to continue until September 11. The competitions will feature a diverse range of sports, including athletics, football, national kabbadi, circle kabbadi, kho-kho, volleyball smashing, and volleyball shooting.
Events to Run Until September 11 Across Multiple Venues; Adequate Arrangements in Place for Participants
The games are being held across several venues: Naresh Chandar Stadium in Khanna, Sports Stadium in Sidhwan Bet, GHG Khalsa College in Sudhar, and Sant Santokh Singh Marding Sports Stadium in Duley Village.
Block-Level Games Kick Off Under Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan 2024
From September 5 to 7, the venues will include Government Senior Secondary School in Village Siarh, Sports Stadium in Bhammipura Village near Grain Market, Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in Machhiwara, Sports Stadium in Village Latala, and Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana.
The final leg of the games, from September 9 to 11, will take place at Government Senior Secondary School in Sahnewal, Sports Stadium in Kila Raipur, Sant Ishar Singh Ji Stadium in Village Ghalauti, Sports Stadium in Village Raikot, and Government Senior Secondary School in Samrala.
Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney assured that the district administration has made comprehensive arrangements for the smooth execution of the event. These include transportation, accommodation, refreshments, and security.
The games were officially inaugurated by SDM Deepak Bhatia, district sports officer Kuldeep Chugh, and other officials at Santokh Singh Marding Sports Stadium in Duley Village. The event aims to foster sportsmanship and community engagement across the region.
