Hyundai Creta: Hyundai Motor India and Hyundai Motor India Engineering (HMIE) have been honored with the ‘India’s Best Design Projects Award’ at the ‘India’s Best Design Awards 2024,’ presented by Design India, for their new Hyundai Creta model.
Chohee Park, Head of Department at HMIE Hyundai Advanced Design India, remarked, “Through Hyundai Motor Company’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language, Hyundai is recognized globally for its breathtaking designs. Winning the ‘India’s Best Design Projects Award’ is a key recognition of this design philosophy.” Park highlighted that the new Hyundai Creta embodies a seamless fusion of contemporary aesthetics and modern technology, positioning it as both an SUV and a visual masterpiece. Its rugged design lines and commanding road presence continue to captivate and appeal to contemporary customers.
The new Hyundai Creta is priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with models such as the Tata Curvv, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor.
Engine Options and Features
The Creta offers three engine options:
- 1.5-litre MPi petrol: Produces 115PS and 144Nm, available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an IVT automatic.
- 1.5-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol: Delivers 160PS and 253Nm, paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic.
- 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel: Generates 116PS and 250Nm, available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic.
The Hyundai Creta continues to set a high standard in the SUV segment, blending innovative design with versatile performance options.
