Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Saryu Canal Project in Balrampur. This is the biggest project in the country. About 29 lakh farmers of Bahraich, Gonda, Shravasti, Balrampur, Basti, Siddharthnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur and Maharajganj will be benefited by this 6623.44 km long project.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also targeted the opposition. He said that I have been in public life for a long time. It is extremely sad that the country’s money, time and resources are misused. The cost of this scheme, which started 50 years ago was Rs 100 crore, but by the time it is completed today, its cost has gone up to Rs 10 thousand crore. This wasted money and time belongs to the public. The cost of this project has increased more than 100 times due to the negligence of the earlier governments.

PM Modi targeted SP President Akhilesh Yadav on this occasion. He said that when I was coming from Delhi, I was thinking that now someone will say that he had cut its lace. He taunted that he might have cut the tape of this project in his childhood….So I would like to tell them that their job is to cut the tape and we have to complete the projects. This is a miracle of double engine government.
More than five decades of work has been done in five years. This project will quench the thirst of farmers’ fields and it is also said in our culture that if a thirsty person is given water, then there is great virtue. This project will fulfill the huge need of the farmers. It shows that if the thinking of the government is honest, then the work is strong. Modi said that the earlier government used to give protection to the mafia. Now a bulldozer is running over them. Earlier women used to think a hundred times before leaving the house, but now the criminal thinks a hundred times before committing a crime. Now the criminal is lurking in the jail.
