Uttarakhand News: In a tragic incident near the Sonprayag area of Rudraprayag, five people lost their lives after being buried under debris following a massive landslide triggered by torrential rains. The landslide occurred on a section of the Kedarnath Dham road, causing significant disruption in the region.
The Additional District Magistrate of Rudraprayag, Shyam Singh Rana, confirmed the incident and reported that the landslide hit a portion of the national highway, making the road unsafe for travel. Rescue and relief operations were immediately launched, with teams working tirelessly to retrieve those trapped under the debris and to clear the affected area.
