Arvind Kejriwal: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders in Punjab have voiced strong support for Arvind Kejriwal’s recent announcement to resign as the Chief Minister of Delhi, describing the decision as “bold and revolutionary.” The move, widely praised by AAP’s top leadership, has been hailed as a testament to Kejriwal’s integrity and dedication to the people.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann lauded Kejriwal’s resignation as a “revolutionary” step, attributing it to his “honesty and commitment” towards public welfare. Mann expressed admiration for Kejriwal’s leadership and indicated that the people of Delhi would likely rally behind him in the event of early elections. “Kejriwal’s thinking is always for the people, and they will support him,” Mann stated.
Allegations Against Kejriwal Refuted
Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema echoed Mann’s sentiments, pointing out that the country is aware of how the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) allegedly fabricated charges against Kejriwal. Cheema emphasized that with the Supreme Court granting Kejriwal bail, it is now evident that the allegations against him were baseless. “This clears his name and reaffirms his honesty,” Cheema remarked.
Integrity and Public Support
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora also praised Kejriwal, saying that the resignation further demonstrated his integrity. According to Arora, the people of Delhi and the nation remain firmly behind Kejriwal and the AAP. He confidently predicted that AAP would return to power with a resounding majority in the next Delhi elections.
Economic Transformation of Delhi
Minister Anmol Gagan Maan highlighted Kejriwal’s decade-long leadership, which she claimed transformed Delhi’s financial landscape. Maan noted that under Kejriwal’s governance, Delhi’s budget increased from ₹30,000 crore to ₹75,000 crore. “It’s now up to the public to decide whether Kejriwal is a criminal, as some claim, or the honest leader who has transformed Delhi,” she concluded.
As AAP leaders rally behind Kejriwal, the party appears poised to challenge any upcoming electoral battles with confidence in both Delhi and nationwide.
