Healthy Street Food: Street food is often seen as unhealthy, especially after several viral videos showed vendors engaging in bad habits and unhygienic practices. Reports suggest that Indian street food isn’t always good for health, leaving many people wary of enjoying these local delights. However, a new wave of young entrepreneurs is emerging, eager to learn every aspect of running a business. Among them is a remarkable woman from Bihar, affectionately known as the “yoga didi,” who has started serving delicious and super healthy street food.
Young Girl Serves Amazing Healthy Street Food
This innovative girl is making a name for herself by offering a unique menu that focuses on health without compromising on taste. Her signature dish is millet idli, with one version made from millet and another crafted from a mix of moong dal (green gram) and rice. Alongside the idlis, she serves a colorful and nutritious protein salad packed with sprouted moong, sprouted chickpeas, roasted peanuts, soybeans, roasted flaxseeds, overnight soaked almonds, boiled chickpeas, sprouted fenugreek seeds, and boiled kidney beans. Additionally, she offers a delicious sprouts chaat, made from the same wholesome ingredients, bringing together the fresh flavors of sprouted moong and chickpeas, topped with tangy spices and chutneys for a delightful taste experience.
To add to the meal, she provides a flavorful sambar, while her special chutney—made from almonds and chickpea dal instead of the usual coconut—features ingredients like coriander, amla (Indian gooseberry), tamarind, jaggery, spices, and chaat masala.
