Viral Video: A shocking incident from Kanpur has gone viral. A girl who was kidnapped by her boyfriend has accused a Sub Inspector of inappropriate touching during her return home. This situation has raised serious concerns about police conduct and accountability.
The girl was reported missing after being taken to Mumbai by her boyfriend. Once she was located, a police team led by Chowki in-charge Gajendra Singh was sent to bring her back to Kanpur. However, during their journey, troubling allegations surfaced about the Sub Inspector’s behavior towards the girl.
The Viral Video and Police Response
The incident became public when a viral video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user named Shivam Bajpai. In the video, the Additional Commissioner of Police (Addl. CP) Law and Order addressed the situation. He confirmed that the Chowki in-charge was suspended due to serious claims of bad touch made by the girl.
The Addl. CP explained that after an FIR was filed about the girl’s kidnapping, the Chowki in-charge was assigned to handle the case. However, reports soon emerged about the Sub Inspector’s inappropriate behavior during the trip back to Kanpur.
He stated, “Upon receiving the reports, we began an investigation. The team that traveled with the Chowki in-charge was questioned. The allegations of bad touch were found to be credible. Therefore, the Sub Inspector involved has been suspended while the investigation continues.”
Investigation Findings
The police conducted a thorough investigation into the claims. They discovered that the girl’s family did not file a formal complaint due to concerns about public shame. However, the police took action based on the corroborated reports from the police team and previous complaints against the outpost in-charge. The Addl. CP assured the public that appropriate actions would be taken to maintain accountability within the police department.
