Old coins scheme: Nowadays, coin collectors can make a fortune by auctioning off their antique coins for a high price. So, if you have any collectible or rare coins, you can also sell them online and get thousands of rupees.
In one such instance, you can earn hundreds of rupees by selling your used 10 paisa coin, which was produced between 1957 and 1963. The first coins to be issued in the Republic of India were 10 paisa pieces.
India had adopted the decimal system in 1957. As a result, a few 10 paisa coins bore decimal inscriptions. However, the government chose to abandon the practice after 1963, and just pence were henceforth depicted on coins.
Additionally, the unique 10 paisa coin we’re talking about differs from other coins minted at the same time since it was constructed of copper-nickel metal.
The coin is 23 mm in diameter and weighs approximately 5 grammes. The special 10 paisa coins were produced by the government at three different locations in Bombay, Calcutta, and Hyderabad.
On one side of the coin is the Ashoka Pillar, and on the other is 10 Naye Paise in Devnagri script with the words “Rupaye ka dasvan bhag” coined. The year of minting and the mintmark are inscribed on the bottom of the coin.
According to media sources, if you have the special, you can also sell it online for roughly Rs 1000. According to reports, the currency is being sold at the aforementioned price on websites that connect buyers and sellers, such as online classifieds platforms.
