The Meteorological Department had given the news of relief to the people of the capital for today. According to IMD, there may be good rain at some places in Delhi today and it will be cloudy.
According to media reports heavy rain pounded Delhi and its adjoining areas on Saturday causing waterlogging and traffic jams at several locations.
Actually, heavy rains have caused havoc in many states of the country. On the other hand, due to lack of rain, people are troubled by the sultry heat in Delhi. The Meteorological Department said that rain was expected on Friday as well, but the day remained hot and humid.
At the same time, the Meteorological Department had given news of some relief today. The Meteorological Department had said that there can be relief from the sultry heat today.
According to the IMD’s estimate, the capital Delhi will be generally cloudy and light rain or thundershowers may occur at some places.
At the same time, the Meteorological Department had said that today the maximum temperature is 37 and the minimum temperature is likely to be 27 degree Celsius.
On Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded three degrees above normal at 38.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 27.5 degrees Celsius.
According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi stood at 70 at around 6.30 pm on Thursday, which is considered satisfactory.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
