New on Netflix: Netflix is home to a large range of films. From critically acclaimed blockbusters to light-hearted binges. This is why the streaming giant is the perfect choice for new releases on the horizon, and fall 2022 is looking more promising than ever.
1. Blonde
Andrew Dominik’s Marilyn Monroe biopic, Blonde, is the most talked about movie of the season. Its NC-17 rating has been questioned by critics and Dominik’s casting of Ana de Armas as Monroe has been debated by many. It is not a true biopic, though, and it has instead been described as an exaggerated interpretation of her life based on a Joyce Carol Oates novel of the same name. It is set to release on September 23.
2. The Midnight Club
The master of horror Mike Flanagan has proven his title with Netflix original series like The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass. With his newest series, The Midnight Club, he switches his focus to five terminally ill teenagers. The show releases on October 7.
3. The Curse of Bridge Hollow’
If you’re looking for an entertaining family Halloween movie, The Curse of Bridge Hollow will be right up your alley. Originally titled Boo!, the new Marlon Wayans movie will be released right ahead of the spookiest night of the year on October 14. The film follows a father-daughter duo who team up together to save their town after an ancient spirit causes Halloween decorations to come to life and wreak havoc.
4. Enola Holmes 2
2020’s Enola Holmes was one of Netflix’s breakout films that year thanks to the charismatic Millie Bobby Brown, who played Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister in this fun frolic through the late 19th century. With Henry Cavill reprising his role as Sherlock Holmes, the sequel will be releasing on November 4.
