Survey of madrasas is being done in Uttar Pradesh. Yogi government is taking action by sorting out fake madrasas. The clear objective of the government is that by surveying madrasas, children can get modern education instead of only religious education in the state, but some leaders, who are called leaders of Muslims, are facing problems due to this. In such a situation, the question is arising whether the politics of intimidating the Muslims is being done? Are some politicians doing this out of fear of losing their political ground?
After AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, now Samajwadi Party MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke has raised questions on Madrasa survey. Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke says that ‘BJP government wants to scare. It is terrorizing Muslims on the pretext of surveying madrasas because the government does not like Muslim education. Burke also said that madrassas need to be protected and not destroyed.’
According to Burke, the BJP government wants to intimidate Muslims, but people from many Muslim communities, including Maulana Arshad Madani, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, a large organization working for Muslims, have already supported the survey. Madani says that ‘the survey of madrasas that has been done so far has been done in the right way. No discrepancies were found anywhere in the survey. However, he has instructed the operators of madrasas built on government land that if this is so, then they should be demolished themselves.’
Why are there investigations in madrasas?
Also know the survey about the matter about which politics is being done, what is the administration checking in the survey of madrasas?
- Are the financial documents attached to the madrasa valid?
- Where does the funding for madrassas come from?
- Money is not coming in any wrong way?
- Enemy country or foreign funding is not being received?
- Is the funding being used properly?
What action after the survey?
A complete blueprint has also been prepared to take action on those madrasas which do not fulfill these criteria. Action will be taken against the madrasas of UP which do not stand up to the administrative investigation.
- Madarsas that fulfill the condition will be recognized
- Government record will be made of all madrasas
- Madrasas that do not fulfill the conditions will be closed
- Action will be taken under the law if any disturbance is found
The government claims that the process of madrasa survey is being done under the law, but Owaisi has started seeing mini NRC in this survey. While talking to the media, Owaisi has alleged that ‘Under the constitution we have the right to open madrasas, so who is the government to close them? The government is not even giving financial help to many madrassas for the last 4 years. So why is the survey being done? Not a survey, it is a small NRC in a way. Even before this, Owaisi had said that ‘why is the government conducting a survey only in madrasas, why not conduct surveys in Sangh schools and missionary schools?’
Fear of losing political ground?
Be it Owaisi or Samajwadi Party, they have mass base among Muslims. In such a situation, if any issue related to Muslims comes, then they are vocal. Perhaps these parties are afraid of losing their political ground behind this. Because BJP and Congress often accuse Owaisi of doing politics by tricking Muslims. Many leaders of Akhilesh Yadav’s party also represent the Muslim community. Shafiqur Rahman is an MP from the Samajwadi Party. The political equations of Akhilesh Yadav and SP are also considered based on the ‘Muslim + Yadav’ factor. In such a situation, whose politics is alive only on Muslims. In such a situation, the question arises as to why political speculations are being made on the survey. Is politics being done by showing fear? The future of Muslim children should not be played with because of politics.
