2023 Tata Nexon Facelift to get touch-based AC controls, patent details leaked, all you must know

2023 Tata Nexon Facelift: The Tata Nexon, which debuted in 2017, has become the most popular sub-four-meter SUV in the nation. The SUV has been in need of improvements in terms of appearance and drivetrain for quite some time. Now that the company is preparing to introduce the Tata Nexon facelift to the nation soon, we get our hands on the updated air conditioning panel.

2023 Tata Nexon Facelift update AC controls

The touch-based air conditioning control panel with capacitive buttons and toggle switches is shown in the leaked patent image. Two toggle switches at either end of the console, together with a variety of capacitive controllers, are impressive features. The capacitive controls can be used to operate a variety of other features, including the parking camera, tailboard release and engine auto start/stop.

We think the Nexon may provide a 360-degree parking camera with a bird’s eye view because there is a specific camera button on the console.

Other aspects of the Nexon facelift, including a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, wireless phone charging, paddle shifters, and a new steering wheel with an illuminated Tata emblem, were also previously leaked photographs. The Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs and the new Nexon are set to share a 10.25-inch infotainment system.

Powertrain details

Tata could choose to provide the Nexon facelift with the brand-new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that was first displayed at the Auto Expo alongside the Curvv ICE concept. Three-cylinder engine with 125 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 225 Nm of torque between 1,700 to 3,500 rpm. The current Nexon is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol turbocharged engine that produces 120 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque. The SUV will still have a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 260Nm of torque and 115 horsepower.
