3 upcoming SUVs
Toyota Taisor
In the middle or second half of 2023 in India, the Toyota Taisor label may debut as the badge-engineered Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross. The Japanese automaker is in need of a volume seller to go along with the Glanza since the Urban Cruiser small SUV appears to be on the way out, and the Taisor, which draws design cues from the international Yaris Cross, could be that vehicle.
It might have a comparable equipment list and share the same base, engine, and mechanical components as the Baleno Cross, with the design being the key differentiator.
Hyundai Micro SUV
According to rumours, Hyundai will introduce a mini SUV in late 2023 to compete with Tata Punch, and it may be showcased at the forthcoming Auto Expo through a concept vehicle close to production. The five-seater might share an architecture with the Grand i10 Nios and arrive with the dependable 1.2-litre petrol engine.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross
The premium Baleno hatchback-based crossover that Maruti Suzuki has been road-testing for months is anticipated to make its world debut at the 2023 Auto Expo in January before making its way to Nexa showrooms in the months that follow. It will be propelled by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, with a maximum power output of probably around 100 PS.
Given that the lightweight Heartect architecture may be used and that the feature list may be shared between it and the Baleno, it will probably be housed on the same platform. It might have features like a heads-up display, automatic climate management, a 360-degree camera system, numerous airbags, and a floating nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
