5 concept two wheelers: Although many of the concepts and prototypes on show at Auto Expo are eventually put into production, some remain concepts, and most of these, we assume, may never be built. Here are a few two-wheelers that are currently just ideas.

Hero Hastur
Hero previously unveiled the artistic Hastur, a 620cc parallel twin streetfighter design created in collaboration with EBR, in 2014. The motorcycle gave us a sneak preview of what the Indian manufacturer might be able to offer in the future at the time. Eight years later, not a single bike based on the Hastur concept has been spotted. And the collaboration with EBR? Done and dusted.
The bike’s design included a bright yellow trellis frame with minimal bodywork, twin projector headlamps, forks that were turned upside down, huge disc brakes, and grippy 17-inch Pirelli Diablo tyres.
Bajaj Pulsar RS 400
At the 2014 Auto Expo, Bajaj unveiled the RS400 alongside the CS400, the bike that would later become the Dominar 400. The brand delivered the Dominar 400 as promised, but the RS400 was only offered in a 200cc version. Using its cross-platform structure, Bajaj should be able to simply create one, but it hasn’t done so yet. The Bajaj Pulsar RS400 is currently only a concept as of now.
TVS Croen
The TVS Creon initially debuted at the 2018 Auto Expo four years ago. A TVS Creon-based electric scooter was spotted in Bengaluru on August 9, 2022, according to a spy photo. The front apron does somewhat like the Creon, although the photograph doesn’t provide much more. Although the full-digital console is placed similarly to the Creon, the boxy back is reminiscent of the iQube. So, has the electric scooter made progress toward being produced?
Emflux One
A true electric supersport with amazing performance stats, the Emflux One was on display at the Expo. You should get the concept from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h. According to the manufacturer, its Samsung-developed lithium-ion battery could have provided a 200 km range. Additionally, it was fully equipped with a full TFT screen, Brembo-powered brakes, and adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends.
Hero HX250
At the 2014 Auto Expo, the Hero HX250R was on exhibit and sparked a lot of attention among Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. Eric Buell Racing, Hero’s former technical partner, made a big contribution to the HX250R concept back then. Despite the quick collapse of the collaboration, Hero was able to purchase EBR’s consultancy firm for roughly Rs 17 crore, which included work on the HX250R that Eric Buell Racing had done for the Indian brand.
