Maruti Suzuki Alto
The Maruti Suzuki Alto has always been a fantastic first car because it has low maintenance requirements, excellent fuel economy, and nimble performance at an affordable price. With a budget of Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 1.8 lakh, you can easily find a used Maruti Suzuki Alto hatchback that is in good condition nationwide.
A tried-and-true 796cc, naturally aspirated, 3-cylinder engine with 47bhp and 69Nm of torque powers the Maruti Suzuki Alto. This engine has a 5-speed manual transmission and features power windows, power steering, and other amenities.
Renault Kwid
The Renault Kwid offers an SUV-like stance in a relatively small footprint, in contrast to the uninspiring Maruti Suzuki Alto. This is one of the factors contributing to the Renault Kwid’s success in India. Even though the Renault Kwid is a fairly new vehicle, used versions can be found in India for as little as Rs 1.8 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. There are two different engine options available for the Renault Kwid. While the 1.0-liter engine generates 67.06 bhp and 91 Nm of torque, the 0.8-liter engine generates 53.26 bhp and 72 Nm.
i10 Hyundai
The Hyundai i10 is arguably the most upscale hatchback on this list, and almost all of its owners have nothing but positive things to say about the vehicle. Hyundai i10 pre-facelift models are simple to find and can be purchased for as little as Rs. 1.3 lakh. It’s also important to note that the Hyundai i10 had two engine choices: 1.1 and 1.2 litres. If your budget permits it, we advise purchasing the 1.2-liter “Kappa” variant.
Hyundai Santro
The Hyundai Santro set the stage for the South Korean automaker’s success in India. Additionally simple to locate, the second-generation Hyundai Santro (Santro Xing) can be purchased for as little as Rs 1 lakh. A 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine with 62bhp of peak power drives the Hyundai Santro Xing hatchback. Furthermore, tall drivers can also benefit from this hatchback’s versatility.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10
The Maruti Suzuki Alto hatchback is available in a slightly more potent version called the Alto K10 in the list of 5 used cars. Although it can be challenging to locate one, you can purchase an Alto K10 in good condition for about Rs 1.75 lakh. The Alto K10 is equipped with a larger 1.0-liter K10 series engine than the Maruti Suzuki Alto. This engine generates 90Nm of torque and 67bhp of power. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki claimed that the Alto K10 hatchback could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 13.3 seconds.
