Hyundai i20: The Hyundai i20 facelift has been teased in India for the first time, ahead of its scheduled Christmas season launch in November 2023. The current iteration of the premium hatch debuted in 2020, and it is receiving its first major change since then. This facelift has previously been seen in other countries.
Design details
According to the single image, the revamped Hyundai i20 for India will have a modified grille, new bracketing features along the sides, and a redesigned mesh finish. The headlamps are also new, with L-shaped DRLs that appear to be LED units rather than the existing model’s projectors. The Hyundai emblem on the front is also larger, and it now stands above the grille at the base of the hood.
Features onboard
The i20 facelift will have numerous new features, according to the firm. This vehicle, like the Exter, can be equipped with a dashcam, which will be standard in all variants. This car will also contain amenities such as an electrically adjustable sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a front parking sensor, and a big touchscreen infotainment system. The i20 already has wireless charging, a digital instrument cluster, automated climate control, cruise control, wireless charging, and ambient lighting. The Hyundai i20 boasts 6 airbags, a rear parking sensor, a reverse camera, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
Powertrain details
Currently, the i20 is available with two powertrains. This comprises a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 83 horsepower and 114 Nm torque and a 1-litre turbo petrol engine with 120 bhp and 172 Nm torque. It comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT transmission. The engine will be used in the facelift version as well.
