Ather: For its Ather 450 Plus and 450X electric scooters, Ather Energy just unveiled the Atherstack 5.0 update. The business previously demonstrated its AutoHold feature. The maker of electric scooters has now revealed that AutoHold capabilities will be included in its Gen3 models. According to the business, the AutoHold feature will be accessible as of February 1, 2023.
Ather Auto Hold features
Hill Descent Control and Hill Hold are combined in the AutoHold feature. In the not-too-distant future, the scooter will be able to determine whether it is stopped on an incline or a descent and will hold the vehicle to prevent it from rolling back. Notably, the feature does not need the use of brakes and operates automatically without the rider’s involvement. The rider’s needs can determine whether to enable or disable this capability in the settings.
450X electric scooter
The 450X electric scooter from Ather Energy now comes in four different colours. Along with other modifications, these scooters now have a redesigned seat and the most recent software. AtherStack 5.0, which includes these updates, was introduced during the Ather Community Day in Bengaluru. These scooters now start at 1.37 lakh for the 450 Plus and 1.60 lakh for the 450X (ex-showroom, Delhi).
In terms of style, the Ather 450X only receives new colours; the aesthetic is untouched. The manufacturer has introduced True Red, Cosmic Black, Slat Green, and Lunar Grey colour variations of the Ather 450X in addition to White and Space Grey, giving buyers a total of six new colour choices.
AtherStack 5.0
The AtherStack has also been modified by Ather Energy. This covers the electric scooter’s software, firmware, system intelligence, and algorithms. With AtherStack 5.0, the scooter receives a number of improvements, including better range estimates, increased torque output without compromising range, and intelligent auto-off when plugged into a charger to extend battery life.
The most recent software update also includes a new user interface with a redesigned home page that enables customers to pair their Bluetooth-enabled gadgets and start navigation before turning on the motor. The most recent on-screen animation shows battery usage and consumption in various modes, and there are easy options for brightness adjustment and call notification deactivation. For data like TPMS, a new fast-view area has been included.
