Fastag New Rule: Driving your car with the top speed possible on the Expressways will no more be a fun now, Govt. has added a new rule in the Fastag Ecosystem, the new addition is that from now onwards, if anyone will drive their vehicle above the permitted speed limits, then the fine amount will be automatically deducted from their Fastag ID. This will be an automated mechanism that will cut fine amount from your Fastag balance, before you will get to know that you are fined. We often see people driving their car above the speed limits on the express way as a fun expression, this practice can be a danger for the driver and other people on the expressway as well. Bengaluru police in working with an all new manner to prevent over speeding on the expressways, Bengaluru Traffic Police will directly deduct the overspeeding fine amount from the Fastag itself. If things goes well, this new rule is expected to be implemented all over the country.
Driving the Vehicles over the speed of 100 kmph on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway is strictly prohibited, to prevent people overspeeding their vehicles, the traffic authorities are planning to deduct the complete fine amount from the Fastag Balance.
This is something out of the box idea which is expected to give positive results in the near future, the balance deducted from fastag directly reaches to the revenue treasury of National Hghway Authority Of India (NHAI). This initiative will promote responsible driving and will eventually inccrease the revenue collection of the Government.
Fine Will Be Credited Directly To Government’s Revenue
Bengaluru-Mysuru highway is accident prone Express-way, to prevent these regular accidents and casualties Bengaluru Police has made aa plan to deduct fine directly from Fastag Balance. Presently, all the amount decucted from Fast Tag goes to NHAI’s Revenue, but Bengaluru Traffic police is planning work on the model in which the fine amount will be added to State Government’s Revenue collection.
NHAI’s Stand
Working on the proposal, as per reports, Bengaluru Police has asked to NHAI Officials whether they can implement this plan or not, if things goes well in the future, NHAI will approve this proposal and this plan will be implemented with the immediate effect on the Bengaluru-Mysore expressway whch will evenntually prevent overspeeding on the Expressway.
Over Speeding Will Attract The Fine Of Rs. 1000
Government is promoting the Fastag all over the country, Via fastag toll tax automatically deducts from the fastag balance which don’t needs any manpower to be deployed on the Toll Booth, till now most of the people are using Fastag for their cars. If Bengaluru Police succeeds in their plan, then the authorities will be able to control overspeeding on the express way. The fine amount of Rs. 1000 will be immediately deducted from the fastag balance of the overspeeding vehicle.
