Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Indian two-wheeler company Bajaj Auto has relaunched the popular Pulsar 220F in the domestic market with an updated engine under the BSVI Stage 2 emission norms. The 2023 model of the Pulsar 220F comes with strong features and a powerful engine at a low price. Let’s take a closer look at what this bike has to offer.
Unchanged Design with New Features
Bajaj has not made any significant cosmetic changes to the new Pulsar 220F. It has a semi-faired design that has been popular among riders in India since 2007. The suspension system comprises telescopic forks at the front and two-side shock absorbers at the rear, while the braking system includes 280 mm discs at the front and 230 mm discs at the rear with the support of a single-channel ABS system.
Specifications and Cost
The Pulsar 220F is powered by a 220 ccs single-cylinder oil-cooled fuel-injected engine with a 5-speed transmission option. It has 17-inch front and rear seat tires and a wheelbase of 1,350 mm and ground clearance of 165 mm. The new bike costs a few hundred rupees more than the Bajaj Pulsar N250 but is almost in the same price range as the F250, which also features a similar semi-faired design.
Features and Mileage
The bike is lighter than the F250 and comes with a bigger fuel tank. Red graphics on the 2023 model of the Pulsar 220F add to its sporty look, while features such as LED tail lamps, split grab rail, and black alloy wheels remain the same. The bike has an ARAI-certified mileage of 38 kmpl in 2022, which is expected to increase in 2023 after the engine update.
Braking and Suspension System
The company has installed a 280 mm disc brake at the front and a 230 mm disc brake at the rear wheel, with a single-channel anti-lock braking system. In the suspension system, Bajaj has installed telescopic forks at the front and two-side shock absorber suspension systems at the rear.
