BMW X5: In the Indian market, BMW has introduced the facelifted X5 SUV. The BMW Group facility in Chennai will manufacture it locally. Two trim levels—xLine and M Sport—will be available for the X5. The luxury SUV will be available with either a diesel or petrol engine and come standard with xdrive all-wheel drive. Price ranges from Rs 93.90 Lakh to Rs 1.06 Crore for the BMW X5. The two costs are ex-showroom.
BMW X5 powertrain details
A 48V mild-hybrid system with options for a petrol or diesel engine is included in the X5 facelift. A 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine with 381 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque is available in the xDrive 40i variant, while a 3.0-litre straight-six diesel engine with 286 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque is available in the xDrive 30d variant. For the electric motor, which produces 12 hp and 200 Nm, both engines are connected to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel engine can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds, compared to the petrol engine’s 5.4 seconds.
Features onboard
A new BMW Widescreen Curved Display twin-screen panel with a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen running BMW’s iDrive 8 operating system and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display is featured within the X5 facelift. Additionally, it includes wireless smartphone integration, a personal assistant, and OTA update support.
Currently, a glass toggle switch stands in for the drive selector. It also comes with a Harman Kardon audio system, ambient lighting, a head-up display (on M Sport trims), sports seats with a heating feature, and ventilated seats in M Sport trim.
This vehicle boasts a driver assistance system from BMW that includes technologies like adaptive cruise control, 360-degree video parking assistance, reverse assistance, remote parking via smartphone, and drive recording. Additionally, it has many other features including dynamic stability control, six airbags, and more.
BMW X5 Price in India
The BMW X5 Facelift xDrive 40i xLine has an ex-showroom cost of Rs 93.90 lakh. In contrast to the xDrive 30d xLine variant’s pricing of Rs 95.90 lakh and the xDrive 40i M Sport’s MSRP of Rs 1.05 crore, the xDrive 30d M Sport’s price has been set at Rs 1.07.
