CT-2 EV: City Transformer, an Israeli electric vehicle startup, is getting ready to introduce CT-2, a small electric vehicle, to customers. This electric vehicle will first be offered on the European market; if reports are to be believed, this might happen as early as 2024. The size of this little electric automobile, which is embellished with an attractive appearance and a strong battery pack, is its most notable characteristic. The company thinks that this little automobile would become the greatest mode of transportation for daily use in cities with significant traffic and congestion.
Asaf Formosa, the CEO, told Reuters that The company has selected a factory in Western Europe to construct the car, and has so far raised $20 million. In the beginning, the company will produce 15,000 units annually. Nevertheless, the business has not disclosed where the plant is located. According to Formosa, the firm is seeking additional funding so that its production can get off to a faster and better start.
CT-2 EV Details
Let us inform you that this car may be used in the United Kingdom and the European Union. It’s interesting that the automobile has two driving modes: performance mode and city mode. When in performance mode, the wheelbase elongates and the car’s four wheels begin to completely separate from one another. The car’s performance is also improved, and as a result, its top speed jumps to 90 kmph. Simply switching to city mode will allow you to park the vehicle in a small space. This forces the car’s wheels to turn inward and narrows the vehicle’s breadth.
The CT-2 has the following dimensions: 2,500 mm in length, 1,400 mm in width 1,580 mm in height, and 1,800 mm in wheelbase. On the other hand, the city-mode car’s width stays the same at 1,000 mm. This car has a single seat in the back and a luggage room (boot) where you can conveniently store your belongings.
Also, This car only weighs 450 kg in total. The car’s top speed is 90 kilometres per hour thanks to the two 7.5 kW electric motors that are installed in it. According to the manufacturer, this vehicle can travel up to 180 kilometres on a single charge. Even in terms of acceleration, this small car can accelerate from 0 to 50 kilometres per hour in just 5 seconds.
Disc brakes are installed on its front wheel, improving and balancing braking. With a DC charger, the battery of this car may be fully charged in just one hour. The company’s official website has begun taking pre-orders for this electric vehicle. Even so, there is currently no official word on when it will be made available in areas outside of Europe.
Price
Formosa claims that the price of this small car, which can fit easily into a space of 100 centimetres, or 1 metre, is as follows: The CT-2 will cost 16,000 euros without tax (about Rs 14.20 lakh).
