Ducati DesertX specifications

The DesertX has generated a lot of excitement because it is the first modern-era adventure bike from the Italian manufacturer to be considered seriously. It has 21-inch/18-inch wire-spoke wheels, 230mm and 220mm of suspension travel in the front and rear, and 250mm of ground clearance to support this claim. These are outstanding stats that not only exceed those of the former Multistrada 1260 Enduro but also set the bar for their class on a number of fronts. The X uses a conventional trellis frame to keep everything together, staying loyal to its Ducati heritage in the frame area.

The 937cc Testastretta L-twin engine that powers the Multistrada V2, Panigale V4, Monster, and Hypermotard 950 is powering this purposeful new chassis. output figures are a little bit lower at 110hp and 92Nm than on some Testastretta-powered bikes.

You are seated 875mm off the ground by default, but you can lower that to 865mm with an aftermarket low seat and even lower to 845mm when the seat is combined with a low suspension kit.

Amazing features

In keeping with Ducati tradition, the electronics package offers a total of six riding modes, including Enduro and Rally modes specifically designed for off-road use. It also matches the size of the suspension travel and ground clearance. In addition, you get four power settings and a Bosch IMU to help the electronics function properly regardless of the bike’s orientation.

A sleek 5.0-inch TFT dash with optional Bluetooth connectivity is used to operate everything. Numerous baggage units made of aluminium, heated grips, fog lamps, and even an 8-litre auxiliary fuel tank are available as additional options. The DesertX tips the scales at 223kg with the normal 21-litre petrol tank (and all additional fluids) fully filled.
