Hyundai Creta Facelift
Beginning in early 2024, the Hyundai Creta will get a facelift with significant interior and exterior upgrades. A new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 160 PS and 253 Nm will be added, along with a complete equipment overhaul.
Kia Sonet Facelift
Kia plans to launch the redesigned Sonet in early 2024, in response to the increasing competition in the compact SUV market. It will have significant exterior and interior changes over the recently disclosed China-spec model, but the 1.5L turbodiesel, 1.0L turbocharged petrol and 1.2L NA petrol engines remain unchanged.
Mahindra Thar 5 Door
The Mahindra Thar five-door variant, which will have a longer wheelbase and a roomier cabin, would go on sale in India the following year. To set itself apart from its current three-door model, the exterior will undergo minor upgrades while the interior will get more sophisticated features. It will have two engine options: a 2.0L petrol and a 2.2L diesel, with MT and AT.
Maruti Suzuki eVX
The eVX concept made its world premiere at the 2023 Auto Expo earlier this year. It was also shown in its more advanced form, and the inside was revealed during the just-finished Japan Mobility Show 2023. According to recent spy photos, it has started road testing in India and will go on sale in 2025 after making its worldwide premiere late in 2024. It will reportedly be able to go about 550 kilometres.
Tata Curvv
In order to compete with midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and others, the Tata Curvv will first be released as an electric vehicle (EV) in the first half of 2024 with a stated driving range of over 500 km. The ICE version will follow shortly after. It is expected to come with a brand-new 1.5L TGDI petrol engine.
