Honda EV Car: Petrol and hybrid models in the works? Price, features and all you need to know

Honda EV Car: Every year in the nation, Honda Cars India hopes to add one new model to its lineup. The automaker plans to introduce petrol and hybrid vehicles that would cost more over Rs 10 lakh with an emphasis on the premium segment. The product line will comprise brand-new models as well as updated and newer iterations of the current product line. Certain models from the Japanese automaker will also be imported into India.

Honda EV Car: Coming with Internal combustion engine

According to Kunal Behl, Senior VP and Director of Marketing and Sales at HCI, the company’s upcoming major launch will be an ICE (internal combustion engine) SUV that will be sold all over the world. The Japanese carmaker plans to reach carbon neutrality, zero traffic fatalities, and 100% electric vehicle sales by 2040 as part of its global strategy. In the near future, Honda will also release electric vehicles in an effort to capture the expanding Indian EV market. The future Honda electric cars haven’t yet been given any specifics, though, according to the automaker.

The company will increase its production capacity

Honda Cars India will increase its production capacity near the end of this year along with the launch of the new models. Now, the Rajasthani factory in Tapukara produces 1.2 to 1.3 lakh units annually. It can produce up to an additional 2.2 lakh units annually, much beyond its installed yearly production capacity of 1.8 lakh units.

Here are the upcoming SUVs from the company

Honda’s upcoming product, a petrol SUV, will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, as was already reported. The model is anticipated to make its market debut in April, maybe before to the 2023 holiday season. Similar to the new City, the Honda mid-size SUV will be offered with the radar-based ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech along with features such as Honda’s Lane Watch system, a 360 degree camera, electronic parking brake, etc.
