Engine details
An air-cooled, fuel-injected 184cc engine powers the Hornet 2.0, delivering 17.23PS at 8500rpm and 16.1Nm at 6000rpm. The engine has greater power and torque than the BS4 CB Hornet 160R’s powerplant, which produced 15.09PS and 14.5Nm. A five-speed gearbox is mated to the motor of the Hornet 2.0. For maximum performance and mileage, it also has technology for reducing friction (roller rocker arm) and increasing thermal efficiency (piston cooling jet).
A 163cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine that develops 15.2PS at 8500rpm and 14Nm at 6500rpm powers the Hero Xtreme 160R. It functions in conjunction with a five-speed gearbox. A 4-valve engine with somewhat more power and torque than the currently available type will power the forthcoming Xtreme 160R. Furthermore, it will be BS6.2 and E20 fuel compliant.
Features
Given that all lighting systems today use LED technology, Honda has long been a supplier of LED lighting. The sharp-toothed face is evocative of the earlier 160cc Hornet, but it looks better on the new bike with those big gold USDs. The odometer, trip, gear position indicator, speedometer, bar-style tachometer, clock, and fuel gauge are displayed on a blue backlit LCD digital cluster. Sadly, there is no range or distance-to-empty functionality. Although it was clear when Honda equipped the Hornet 2.0 with an engine kill button, the naked model also has a hazard toggle switch.
The Xtreme 160R has a fully digital console in addition to LED lighting, which holds all the important readouts such as a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip metre, fuel level reading, and time. The bike can also connect to Bluetooth-enabled smartphones, allowing the console to get SMS and call notifications.
