Hyundai i20 Facelift vs Old Model: Hyundai India has introduced the 2023 i20 Facelift on Indian soil, with prices beginning at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, it receives updates to its design, changes to some of its features, and loses one powertrain choice. In this article, we will tell you all what’s new in the updated Hyundai i20 Facelift.
Hyundai i20 Facelift vs Old Model
Styling Changes
Due to the Verna-inspired grille, the front of the vehicle has seen the biggest changes from an outward perspective. In the previous model, the Hyundai logo was blended into a streamlined grille. But now, rather than being on the grille, the new Hyundai emblem is visible on the hood. There aren’t any noticeable side changes outside the 16-inch alloy wheels.
Rearward, the model still has the Z-shaped LED tail lamps. There are, however, a few very few modifications, such as a new bumper with a skid plate.
Interior Changes
The facelifted i20 maintains the same general dashboard design as previously available, but the new one features a dual-tone colour scheme of black and grey rather than all-black. To keep up with the times, it also receives a USB Type-C phone charger.
Features onboard
Both i20 models share several features, like a single-pane sunroof, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A USB-C charging connector is the only brand-new component of the i20 makeover.
The facelifted model has increased safety by adding six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, ESC, hill assist control, day-night IRVM, vehicle stability management, and three-point seatbelts for every passenger as standard equipment.
Powertrain details
The 1-litre turbocharged petrol engine that was formerly an option with the regular i20 is no longer available with the new i20. The revised i20 now has a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with up to 88 PS and 115 Nm. Both a CVT gearbox and a 5-speed manual gearbox are compatible with this engine.
