Hyundai Venue N Line vs Kia Sonet: The sportier variant of the Venue, the N Line, was introduced by Hyundai last year at an initial price of Rs. 12.16 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The aesthetic, interior, and technical aspects of the small SUV have all been improved. The Hyundai Venue N Line competes with vehicles like its cousin, the Kia Sonet, which has an ex-showroom starting price of Rs. 12.3 lakh. Let’s look at the thorough comparison of the two.

Know about the dimensions

Both the Hyundai Venue N-Line and the Kia Sonet are SUVs. The dimensions of the Venue N-Line are 3995mm long, 1770mm wide, and 1617mm high. The wheelbase of the Venue N-Line measures 2500mm in length. The Sonet has a wheelbase that is 2500mm long, 1790mm wide, and 1642mm tall. The Kia Sonet is somewhat larger than the Hyundai Venue N-Line in all measurements. Therefore, the Sonet will provide a bigger road presence than the Venue N-Line.

The Sonet features a 205mm ground clearance compared to the Venue N-Line’s 190mm. The Venue N-Line’s 343-liter boot is 49 litres smaller than the Sonet’s.

Know about the engine variant and their power

The sole options for the Hyundai Venue N-Line are a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. This engine produces 172Nm of torque between 1500 and 4000 rpm and 120PS of power at 6000 rpm.

Two petrol engines are offered for the Kia Sonet: a 1.2L regular petrol engine and a 1.0L turbo petrol engine. While the 1.0L turbo petrol engine is only available with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual gearbox, the 1.2L regular petrol engine comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Sonet’s 1.2L regular petrol engine produces 115Nm of torque at 4200 rpm and 83PS of power at 6000 rpm. The Kia Sonet’s 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine produces 172Nm of torque between 1500 and 4000 rpm and 120PS of power at 6000 rpm.
