Hyundai Verna vs Honda Elevate: India is a developing country, and it is developing rapidly. People now have much more buying capacity than they did 20 years ago. Automakers have understood the changing scenario and have started offering cars that were once not available in the Indian market. Hyundai recently updated the ever-loved Verna, and Honda launched the Elevate to compete in the fierce mid-segment market. Powertrain details

A 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 160 PS and 253 Nm coupled to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre normally aspirated engine with 115 PS and 144 Nm mated to a six-speed manual or CVT transmission are the two petrol engines that the Verna is offered with.

The Honda Elevate and City share the same 1.5-litre petrol engine, which produces 121 PS and 145 Nm. It can be mated to an automated CVT gearbox or a 6-speed manual.

Features onboard

A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bose audio, heated and ventilated seats (a segment first), ambient lighting, a digital driver’s display akin to that of Venues, a powered driver’s seat, and, most importantly, an entire ADAS suite are among the 2023 Verna sedan’s top new features. The car still has a sunroof, automatic climate control, keyless entry with a button start, and wireless phone charging. The 2023 Verna comes equipped with electronic stability control, six airbags, ABS, parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts, in addition to ADAS.

The Honda Elevate boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen entertainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display, and automated climate management.
Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as auto-emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane maintaining assist, and auto high beam assistance are incorporated in addition to up to six airbags. A camera on the left ORVM is used for lane watch assistance. Additionally featured are a back parking camera and a vehicle stability aid.

Price in India

The Hyundai Verna’s pricing ranges from Rs. 10.90 lakh at launch to Rs. 17.38 lakh at its highest point.

The Honda Elevate is priced between Rs. 11 lakh and Rs. 16 lakh.
