Engine and transmission

Two petrol engines are available for the Verna: a new 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with 160 PS and 253 Nm coupled to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT, and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine with 115 PS and 144 Nm coupled to either a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

Both a mild hybrid and a self-charging strong hybrid are available for the Urban Cruiser Hyrder’s 1.5-litre petrol engine. The latter has an 80PS/141Nm electric motor with an e-CVT arrangement and an ICE unit with an output of 92PS/122Nm combined. With a 5-speed manual or automatic torque converter, the mild hybrid’s 102PS/135Nm output is available with both two-wheel and all-wheel drivetrains.

Features

The 2023 Verna sedan’s top new features include heated and ventilated seats (a segment first), a powered driver’s seat, Bose audio, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver’s display similar to that found in Venues, ambient lighting, and, most importantly, a complete ADAS suite. Automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, a sunroof, and a keyless entry with a button start are all features that the car still offers. The 2023 Verna includes ADAS in addition to six airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, parking sensors, and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.

The Toyota SUV comes with a variety of comfort features, including a 9-inch infotainment system, wireless phone charging, a head-up display, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 360-degree camera, connected car technology, ventilated front seats, a digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof. Its safety package consists of six airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and hill-hold assistance.

Price in India

The Hyundai Verna has a starting price of Rs. 10.90 Lakh and a maximum price of Rs. 17.38 Lakh. Hyundai Verna is available in 10 variations, with EX being the entry-level model and Hyundai Verna SX Opt Turbo DCT being the most expensive at Rs. 17.38 lakhs.

The cost of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder ranges from Rs. 10.48 Lakh to Rs. 19.49 Lakh. There are 13 variations of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
