Kia EV9 concept unveiled for the first time in India, to be the biggest EV in the world with a range of 450km, all you need to know

Kia EV9: Currently taking place at Auto Expo 2023, Kia India unveiled the EV9 Concept and KA4 vehicles (Carnival). By the end of 2024, the former electric SUV is anticipated to enter production. The latter, the fourth-generation Kia KA4 (Carnival), made its debut on the international market in 2020. Here is a peek at the new Kia car’s appearance and specs as seen at Auto Expo 2023.

All about the Kia EV9

The Kia EV9 Concept is built on the E-GMP platform of the business. The electric SUV has a clamshell bonnet and headlamps with a dot pattern and L-shaped DRLs. The front of the vehicle has a tiger-nose grille.

The concept car has enormous wheels with aerodynamically shaped wheel arches. On the EV9 Concept, Kia has installed cameras on either side that will display the interior traffic in place of the traditional ORVMs.

It has a large windscreen and taillights that are vertically stacked on the back. The EV is supposed to have a 450-kilometre driving range and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in less than five seconds.

Kia KA4

A 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine powers the Kia KA4 (Carnival). The maximum output is 290 bhp, while the maximum torque is 355 Nm. An eight-speed automatic transmission is linked to the engine. The Indian version may potentially feature a 2.2-litre diesel engine with 200 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque.

The new Kia Carnival has a grille with brushed silver accents that is attractive. The grille section contains the headlamps as well. Along with dual-tone alloy wheels, body-coloured cladding, wraparound two-piece LED tail lights, and a brushed silver insert on the tailgate, the vehicle have a new rectangular projector headlight unit with integrated LED DRLs.
