Kia Picanto Facelift: The Picanto hatchback, also known as the Kia Morning in some regions, is getting an update from South Korean automaker Kia. The car is likely to be powered by a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine, which will churn maximum power output and peak torque of 83 bhp and 122 Nm respectively. It is the Kia model that is most reasonably priced worldwide. The updated Hyundai i10 competes in the same segment. The third generation Picanto, which debuted in 2017, has undergone two facelifts.
Know about the features
The second Picanto facelift features a twin-screen look on the dashboard, unlike other Kia cars. On the dashboard, there is a 4.2-inch instrumentation screen and a free-standing 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. Other interior features, such as the steering wheel, are identical to those of the previous generation.
Additionally, the second facelift’s Euro-spec will come with the complete complement of ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) capabilities. The ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, and a few other items could not be included in the Australian edition.
Kia Picanto Facelift: Engine, powertrain and launch
The 2024 Picanto must nevertheless comply with the most recent safety rules in Australia and Europe, which include AEB and other ADAS technologies, despite the fact that it is Kia’s most cheap vehicle. The 1.2L and 1.0L petrol engines from Kia will remain the same. While the 1.0L 3-cylinder T-GDi turbo petrol engine produces 100 bhp and 172 Nm, the 1.2L NA 4-cylinder MPI engine produces 83 bhp and 122 Nm.
For areas including Europe, Australia, South Korea (as Kia Morning), and a few ASEAN and Latin nations, launch is probably in 2024. There are very slim chances that the Kia Picanto would be introduced in India. Don’t therefore hold your breath.
