For the 2023 model, a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine will reportedly replace the current 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which is capable of producing a maximum power output of 140 PS and 242 Nm of peak torque. The current unit might not comply with the stricter RDE (Real Driving Emission) requirements, which is the reason for the upgrade.

The midsize SUV was the first vehicle the South Korean manufacturer released in India back in 2019. It is presently the second best-selling model in its segment.

However, It has been a solid seller over the years and is anticipated to receive a significant upgrade with numerous interior and exterior changes somewhere in the second part of the 2023 calendar year. Both a litre NA four-cylinder petrol engine and a litre NA four-cylinder diesel engine will still be available for retail sale. The first one generates about 115 PS and 144 Nm.

The latter is capable of producing 115 PS and 250 Nm. The Kia Seltos has been given a facelift a few months ago and is already available for purchase in many foreign countries. Among other stylistic improvements, the 2023 Kia Seltos will probably get a new front end with a wider grille area and an updated bumper.

Will ADAS be included?

The incorporation of driver-assistive and safety technologies in the form of ADAS could be another significant update. A blind spot monitoring system, autonomous emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, lane maintain assist, auto high beam assist, driver attention warning, safe exit warning, forward collision avoidance assist, etc. could all be included in the redesigned Seltos.

A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, an automated parking brake, a panoramic sunroof, the usage of new trims and surface materials, etc., will likely be added to the equipment list as well.
