Land Rover’s Updated Defender SUV: In order to conform to the latest BS6 phase 2 and RDE regulations, Land Rover India has revised its product lineup. The British automaker has increased the price of its revamped Defender SUV, which now features a revised engine, additional trim levels, and other improvements.
The new Land Rover Defender comes in 90, 110, and 130 versions
The updated Land Rover Defender is now available in three trim levels – 90, 110, and 130. The SUV is powered by a range of petrol and diesel engines, including a 3.0-liter diesel engine that produces 296bhp and 650Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine options include a 2.0-liter and 3.0-liter engine that produce 296bhp and 400Nm of torque, and 394bhp and 550Nm of torque, respectively. Additionally, the newly introduced variants are powered by a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine that produces 625Nm of torque. The power is transferred to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic unit and the AWD system.
Land Rover has also introduced new variants in the Defender lineup and increased the prices. The new variant-wise ex-showroom prices of the Land Rover Defender range from Rs. 94.45 lakh to Rs. 2.30 crore in India. The prices vary based on the trim levels and the engine options selected.
